WYD offers a way to share what you’re doing with your friends
and family. You have a status and can update it as often as you’d like. You can
share statuses with your friends and
geotag your status to places on WYD’s
map.
Location
data
If you choose to allow location
tracking when you sign up to geotag your status to a place on the map, you will
share your location with us and with other users when the app is open or in the
background, depending on your preferences. You can choose to opt out of this
sharing, but the functionality of the app will be limited if you do so. Below,
we provide more information about the location data we collect and how you can
opt out if you no longer wish to share your location data with us.
Our
privacy principles
When you use WYD, you’re trusting us
with your information. We understand it’s a tremendous responsibility and work

party companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us
operate the app (such as customer support, content moderation, hosting,
analytics, email delivery, marketing, identity verification, fraud detection,
payment processing, and database management).
For compliance, fraud prevention and
safety. We may share your personal

Other app users. By using the app, you share information with other users.
For example, you may choose to direct message other app users located near you,

Your
privacy rights and choices
Unsubscribe from direct marketing
communications. You may opt out of
marketing-related communications by following the opt out or unsubscribe
instructions contained in the marketing communication we send you.
Opt-out of push notifications. If you opt in to receive push notifications within the app,
we may send push notifications or alerts to your mobile device from time to

Stop updating your contact list. If you chose to sync your contacts, you can always stop
updating your contact list later by disabling contact sync in your account

to your personal information:
To make a request, please email us

We will require authorized agents to confirm their identity and authority, in
accordance with applicable laws. You are entitled to exercise the rights
described above free from discrimination.
Limits on your choices. In some instances, your choices may be limited, such as
where fulfilling your request would impair the rights of others, our ability to
provide a service you have requested, or our ability to comply with our legal
obligations and enforce our legal rights. If you are not satisfied with how we
address your request, you may submit a complaint by contacting us as provided
in the “Contact us” section below.
Do Not Track. Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do
Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit. We
currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals. To find out
more about “Do Not Track,” please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.

service providers in the United States and other jurisdictions. Please rest
assured that where we share your personal information with any other parties,
we ensure that any safeguards required under your local law (e.g.
contracts or assessments which include special data transfer protections) are
in place for such transfers. You can contact us as set out in the “Contact us”
section below to find out more about these safeguards.
Retention
of personal information
We retain your personal information
only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was
collected and processed, in accordance with our retention policies, and in
accordance with applicable laws or until you withdraw your consent (where
applicable).
To determine the appropriate
retention period for your personal information, we consider the amount, nature,
and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from
unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for
which we use your personal information and whether we can achieve those
